The Sad Ghost Club is described as 'a small creative project making comic books, apparel & merchandise to spread positive awareness of mental health'. The main aim is to help anyone feeling depressed, anxious and low that they are not alone and that it's actually okay to be sad, and if you don't feel you fit in anywhere else, you can always be a member of The Sad Ghost Club. As my readers will know, I suffer from a few different mental health problems myself and I can really connect with the message that TSGC is sending. Sometimes we feel so isolated and that we're the only ones in the whole world who are going through this stuff. It's comforting to be reminded that we are actually part of a huge community of people who feel the same.
As we all know, colouring can be a massive help in getting through the day when we feel like we need to escape for a while and engage in a calming, meditative activity, therefore colouring is an ideal pairing with TSGC. This book is filled with realistic nature-based landscapes, surreal & dreamlike scenes, and positive quotes to colour.
The book is A4 in size and has a thick card cover. There are 20 colouring pages in total and they are double sided with a border around each one. The paper is thicker than standard copy paper and only has slight shadowing in some areas when water-based pens are used.

The illustrations have quite large spaces despite each page being busy enough to hold your attention. I think this is perfect for a lot of people suffering with mental health issues, as crazy-intricate designs might seem overwhelming to some and it actually feels achievable that you could finish this book in its entirety.

Here's my finished page from the book (a statement I need tattooing on myself as I practice the opposite on a daily basis!) coloured with Do-Crafts Artiste Brush Pens.
