Yay, it's another colouring book from Meg Cowley! I have reviewed all of Meg's books thus far which you can find on these links: The Wild Colouring Book, The Calm Colouring Book, The Exotic Colouring Book & Fantasy Creatures.

The Inspiring Colouring Book features 20 new designs, all centred around positive and motivational quotes, phrases and expressions to uplift and, of course, inspire. The book contains two copies of each illustration so you are able to colour the same page in a different way, or give one of them away to a loved one. There's also postcard-sized versions of each image, so you're getting THREE copies in total!

These designs are perfect for colouring brightly and framing as a gift, or displaying around the home. Each illustration has a floral and nature theme to surround the beautiful hand-drawn lettering. Sentiments include:

Faith Will Always Triumph Over Fear ~ Kindness Breeds Kindness ~ Nothing Worth Doing is Ever Easy ~ On The Other Side of Fear is Success ~ Have Courage ~ Count Your Blessings

It is published by Amazon CreateSpace so the paper is akin to printer paper, but it doesn't matter because the book is single sided so you are able to use any type of wet media including heavy ink like alcohol without fear of bleed-through (pop some card behind each page to protect the next illustration).

Meg's pen-and-ink artwork is very crisp and clean, amazingly all hand-drawn but with the precision of digital art. Designs of the images vary; some fill the whole page with busy detail, others are centred and simpler for a quick colouring fix. None of the illustrations go into the spine or off the page, however. There is a space at the bottom of each page for you to sign your name, which also includes the title of the piece and a link to Meg's website.

Here is my finished page, coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.
