Quilting meets colouring! This book features 70 classic quilt designs from Laurie Aaron Hird's bestselling Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt series of books, so if you're a crafter or seamstress and like traditional fabric patterns this is the book for you!
This is generally an American type of thing but would appeal to everyone interested in old-fashioned patchwork, as there are many different material swatches all joined together in geometrical patterns.
The paper is cream coloured, adding to the vintage feel. At 21cm square and around 3/4" thick, it's a handy size to take away from home for those outdoor colouring stints. The paper is average thickness and waterbased pens do shadow on the reverse, but do not bleed through to the next page.
Overall it has a very nostalgic style that colourists young and old will appreciate, especially if you're a fan of granny/shabby chic like me! It's currently up for pre-order, releasing 25th March 2016.
Here's my finished page, coloured with Spectrum Aqua markers.
