Being a late 80's baby, the 90's was the decade I grew up in, so you can imagine how excited I was when I was sent this book to review from America! So, get your Donnay trainers out, grab your slap bracelets, walkman, & N*SYNC CD and high-kick into this book with me! It's DA BOMB!
I have to say that many of the things in this book are be US-centric as I didn't recognise all of them, but there's still plenty of nostalgia for us Brits to reminisce about! You can add colour (neon scented markers?) to TV programs like Clarissa Explains It All and the Fresh Prince, as well as bubblegum-pop divas Britney & Christina -remember that feud?
I particularly enjoyed seeing Ace Ventura in there; Jim Carrey was my favourite actor growing up! The book is full of humourous captions that only us 90's kids will truly appreciate, and even a few sentimental activities like designing your own Beanie Babies. Pop your flip-sunglasses on and peek inside...
The book is double-sided and the paper is not the best, just don't go over the same place with your markers too many times and you'll be fine. The drawings are pretty basic so you won't find anything serious or intricate here, but that's not the type of book it is. Even if you don't particularly fancy colouring it, it's a walk down memory lane that takes you back to simpler times and I think it's worth a buy for the entertainment factor. Here are my "cool" pages, check em out! (Notice how I coloured the fax machine completely grey- that's how I remember them, just these bulky, dusty grey things lol :)
This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review. You can find it on Amazon here:
