Australian artist Megan Ansell is the lady behind Ruby Tangerine, a creative project which includes hand designed greetings cards, prints, original art and now a colouring book! Megan's work is all very light-hearted and cheerful, totally ironic with a title like Serious Colouring! The intention is to completely relax and let your creativity flow as Megan has, whilst at the same time remain present in the moment as you answer some big life questions on the back of each page.

The artwork ranges from random tiny items of clothing peppered all over the page, to big, bold statements that would look great in a frame- as long as you can find one big enough- the book is a huge A3 in size! Designs include cut-out greetings cards and pages you can use as wrapping paper!

It's also important to mention that $5 from each copy sold goes to the EON foundation; a not-for-profit organisation that promotes healthy eating and disease prevention in indigenous communities in Northern Australia. Such a great cause! Take a look through this big book with a big heart below.
The book has been produced with sustainability in mind, so the paper is FSC certified and fully biodegradable yet feels really thick and good quality- not what you'd expect. Unfortunately waterbased markers do bleed through, but if you're disinterested in the prompts on the reverse of each page and just want to colour the main artwork, it doesn't really matter. Each page is perforated for easy removal and display, and there's a mixture of linework and intricacy from fine and delicate to large and prominent.

Here's my work in progress!
