I love this book! Crammed with little critters in all sorts of daft situations, just waiting to be given life through colour. It was so much fun! Doodle Invasion by Zifflin (illustrated by Kerby Rosanes).

Doodle Invasion is absolutely packed with illustrations for you to get your teeth into- you can tell from the cover that it's not for the fainthearted! Those cute little monsters are featured heavily throughout: whether it's piled high riding on a stork, pouring out of a huge beehive or cradling a sleepy crescent moon- you're invited to all their adventures! I was so excited to receive this book as there are only so many mandalas and zentangles you can do before it gets tedious, and I don't like repetition! This book is uniquely refreshing, and there's not one illustration I don't love- in fact I reckon this might be the first book I complete in its entirety. The images are so fun and entertaining, you really relish animating each one through colour.

Paper quality is great; my Staedler Triplus didn't bleed through at all, but Pentel felt tips and Sharpies as usual did. Designs are printed one-sided which is always a bonus. I'm thinking of removing my favourites and framing them for the kids' bedroom, as my children love the little creatures! They've even asked me to photocopy a few of the pages so they can have a go colouring them in, too!
There are 50 extremely detailed illustrations in the book, so you really are getting your money's worth when you think about how much colouring you'll get out of it. It'll keep you entertained for hours, even just looking at the doodles and finding different things hidden within.
Here are my finished pages!

Sorry to hear you had that experience, it must be a different print run as I haven't had that problem x
