There are plenty of colouring apps out there and you either love them or loathe them, so why should this one be any different? Recolor not only has a vast library of themed pages, over 600 in fact, but also includes 3D colouring- something I haven't come across before. This polished and high-quality app has a clean, easy to use interface that handles its many features smoothly and expertly. The 18 themes scroll horizontally across the top and you select your chosen page by scrolling downward. Pop Art, Mandalas, Food, Fashion, Animals, Fantasy & more hold some really quirky and interesting art, again an unmatched variety among other colouring apps.

Colour palettes are plentiful too, from pre-selected groups to solid shades and gradients. Here are some examples.

The pinch to zoom function makes it easy to zone in on tiny areas without a massive reduction in resolution, and the colouring itself is as simple as one tap to fill, another to erase.
Once you've finished colouring, there are a plethora of different effects (both still and animated) you can add on to make your picture stand out. Check out the slideshow of some of these effects below.
The app is free but of course some of the pictures are locked unless you subscribe. The cost for full access is £5.99 per month or £29.99 per year and can be cancelled at any time, so I don't think the monthly fee is too high (if you get through these pages quickly like me you might only need a month ;) If you're not in a position to subscribe there is still a good number of free pages on there, and all the colours are unlocked apart from the gradients.

Here is a couple of pictures I completed, they're both finished with the 'Shadow' effect as I liked that one best :)
