COLOURartistics is run by Sally Moret, a freelance designer and illustrator. This is her first colouring book but not the only colouring-related product she has created; colourable wrapping paper sheets and A4 pages for framing are also available on her Etsy.

Pretty Birds (it might be because it's my all-time favourite film but I have to say it like Billy in 4C from Dumb & Dumber- ignore me if you're none the wiser but if you get it, virtual fist bump!) is an A5 colouring journal containing charming nature-focused illustrations alongside ruled, blank and grid lined pages for note taking. It also features inspirational quotes to help lift your day and take a new perspective. Take a look through a selection of pages below.
The book costs £9 and contains 27 double-sided pages so there's lots to colour and fill in. The paper is bright white and a lovely thick stock, perfect for water based markers without bleed through or shadowing.

It's a lovely little book that can be easily popped in a bag and taken out, ready to collect memories, notes, thoughts, diary entries, shopping checklist, to-do lists, recipes... whilst having something handy to colour on your travels too! I like how there are different rules for various types of notes, and how they are a light grey instead of heavy black so they don't take over the page.

Overall I think this delightful book would make a perfect gift for Mum, an Auntie or Sister who love colouring wildlife and floral designs.

Here's a page I coloured ready to take some notes. I chose this particular page as I really do need to 'Think Less, Live More'.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. You can find it on Amazon here:

Claire, I like how u started with a darker colour at the bottom of the bird (brown) and used lighter colours as u coloured up towards the head of the bird. The focus was then on the head of the bird. I would of liked it if u blended the colours on the flowers as they would of looked more real, like added the light colours to the flowers to where the light would of been shining on the flowers. Thanking you.

Cheers!
