Crystal Vielula is an artist, fashion and costume designer living the dream as an art teacher in San Francisco. This colouring book is one of four she has created which sees various animals flaunting their fashions from LA to NY. It's obviously a very tongue-in-cheek book, from its humorous captions for each animal's clothing (Vera Wing and Oscar de la Rodenta made me laugh out loud) to the plain fact that it's animal heads on human bodies, modelling clothes! I think it's better if I just show you :)

The fact that this book is double sided really lets it down, because the paper is so thin the only option for colouring is pencils or soft pastels. I love using markers but I ruined the flip side which is a real shame. The back cover can be cut into 4 separate postcards for you to colour and send to friends, or stick on your fridge for a giggle. If you're looking for a novelty gift that is surprisingly artsy, this is definitely a book for you or a fashionista friend! It's certainly a talking point if anything, and if it makes you smile then it's worth a buy.
