It's one of the most anticipated books of 2016, the follow up to Animorphia... Imagimorphia! I have had my copy for a few weeks now and I can honestly say it lives up to and surpasses the quality and content of its predecessor. I'm certainly a fan of Animorphia but did find it tedious at times that all of the images were animals, all with the same little alien doodles... in Imagimorphia, each page has a different theme from castles, steam trains and skulls to Steampunk-inspired flying ships and crazy robots. There are still plenty of animals included, but this time they mostly incorporate mechanical elements like cogs and cables, which adds a lot more interest and variety than the little doodle monsters (still very much present!).

Like the first book, there is a treasure hunt element whereby you search for quirky little artifacts and creatures hidden between the pages. These include a frog wearing a crown, Edvard Munch's 'The Scream', a Carriage clock and various playing cards, which are all displayed at the back of the book so you have a reference to colour when you've found them.

The book is formatted exactly the same as Animorphia, with great paper quality that takes waterbased markers without bleed. If you go over the same area a few times you may find slight shadowing on the reverse, but it's not a major issue. I do wish the double page spreads weren't so difficult to get to in the spine; spiral or lay flat binding on this book would be a dream. The cover has a matte feel with glossy images and title, a perfect complement to the design of Animorphia.

Most of you will have seen the picture I coloured from this book on my Marco Raffine pencil review, but here it is again in case you missed it. I had such fun colouring this and I'm in love with how it turned out!

This sounds amazing, I love the idea of the little hunt element! The illustations look quite complex? I can't imagine getting bored halfway through a picture.
