From the illustrators that brought you the saucy colouring book Secrets Beneath the Leaves comes two special themed artist packs of colouring pages, all hand drawn on large format pages. These also serve as a preview of things to come in the sequel to Secrets, releasing soon. Each pack comes in a simple A4 folder, containing five (six if you're one of the first 100 orders) A3 sized colouring pages folded in half. The paper is a very thick cardstock suitable for using wet media as well as having a good tooth for pencil layering. The Flow illustrations are most similar to Secrets, in that they are centred around couples and the human form, frolicking sensually among flowers and foliage. The pictures contain masses of leaves and florals, the hidden images not always immediately apparent until you're close to completing the picture. The Goth set is predictably darker and stranger in tone and theme, featuring skulls, devilish faces and surreal imagery. It reminds me a lot of the kinds of books they always come across in horror movies, full of demonic spells and disconcerting drawings. I love it! The packs can be bought individually or as a set of two from the Vivid Owl Coloring Etsy page, for £3.56 and £6.39 respectively, so they're very affordable- in fact I would've expected 5-6 illustrations of this size, quality and detail to be at least double or triple the price, so they're definitely worth the money. Shipping to the UK is also very reasonable at just a couple of pounds. Here are my finished pictures from Flow and Goth, which I had lots of fun colouring with a whole plethora of marker brands. I'll be keeping my eye out for the new book from Vivid Owl and let you all know when I find out anything! These packs were given to me in exchange for an honest review.
