Peggy Jo is an artist from California who has experience as a greetings card designer and children's book illustrator, her designs featured on countless giftwrap, rubber stamps, ornaments and other textile products. Flora Bella is her first colouring book, personally requested by the head of Sellers Publishing after working intermittently with Peggy for over 30 years.
"Of all the artists I've worked with, no one compares to Peggy when it comes to originality, detail, composition, and overall quality of execution." -Ronnie Sellers
Peggy's designs are all completely hand-drawn, the charming detail combined with heartwarming quotes giving a cheerful feeling as you colour. The book features beautiful flowers of all different species, garden greenery, vine-covered planters, elegant vases, floral bouquets and much more for the flower lovers amongst you. There's plenty of pages containing decorated ruled lines for you to write your own favourite quotes or notes to friends, and Peggy has also included helpful colouring tips for blending, shading and more to get you started. There's even a colour chart at the rear of the book for you to swatch out your pallette and test different mediums.
The book is square format with 88 double sided designs on very thick, high quality paper that doesn't allow bleed through from waterbased markers. Each page is perforated for easy removal, which is ideal as many of these illustrations are just crying out to be given as gifts to loved ones. They remind me of hand-painted tiles or cross stitch designs that are meant to be framed and displayed as decorative items in the home.

The illustrations are very pretty, traditional and feminine, perfect for the special mum or grandma colourist in your life.

Here is my finished page, coloured with Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils.
