This is so much more than a colouring book... with stories on each page accompanied by the facing illustration, you are swept by both the whimsical tales and the stunning artwork into the amazing world of Fantasia.

The book includes lots of mythological creatures including dragons, chimera, angels, harpies, fauns and the Norse god Odin. The partnering short stories, full of rich emotive language, serve to firstly identify the illustration and also give you some insight into a legendary place & all its inhabitants. Fans of fantasy and folk tales are sure to fully appreciate Casey's artwork; it;'s obvious how much thought has gone into creating these characters and making them look authentic.
Not only are the illustrations beautiful quality, the book itself has been produced with only the best materials. With thick card pages- yes that's card, not paper- and spiral lay flat binding, colourists who favour using alcohol markers or watercolour paints are welcome to do so without fear of bleed through or buckling.

The linework varies throughout the book from fine and crisp to heavily shaded, almost greyscale. The drawings have a good level of intricacy but nothing too minuscule, so it's suitable for most. As this book is produced in the USA, buyers from other countries will unfortunately have to pay a hefty shipping fee BUT there is a concise edition of the book available on Amazon through CreateSpace printing. This has a few less images and obviously the paper won't be anywhere the quality of the full edition, but if the shipping cost is a stumbling block it might be worth it to get your hands on these beautiful images. You can also buy the instant digital version if you wish to print and bind yourself.

Here are my completed images from the book, coloured with Fibracolor Aquarello pens & pencils.
