Here's something a little different for you today, a brilliant little book designed here in the UK to raise money for The Prince's Trust. For anyone who doesn't know, the Prince's Trust was set up in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales, to help disadvantaged young people; those who have been in trouble with the law, in difficulty at school or who have been in care.

100% of the proceeds go to the charity. Here's the background behind the book:

As you can tell, this book is incredibly special and immeasurably valuable to those who benefit from the charity. But what's it like for a colourist? Although the book has been created purely to raise money, that doesn't mean the illustrations aren't superb quality. The designers behind it are part of Hallmark, a huge greetings card company which produce some of the world's most beautiful cards, so you can imagine the standard of artists who work for them.

Each page of the book contains uplifting phrases, intended to motivate and inspire whilst providing some really cute colouring pages. It's very charming and informal, with endearing illustrations and a cheerful design.
The book is postcard size at 8x6", a common photo frame size, meaning they're easy to mount and display or gift to a friend who needs a pick me up. With the wonderful 'lay flat' binding you're able to remove each page without effort. The reverse of each page is blank, save for a small area at the bottom which allows you to sign your name next to the page's artist. The paper used is a thick, fantastic quality cardstock that will take all mediums including watercolours, whilst at the same time having a slight tooth for pencils.

This is one of those books that can't help but make you smile, and for a great cause too- what's not to love? Even the quality is outstanding, so I can't think of one reason you shouldn't buy this book! A proper little gem. Plus, it's Limited Edition so get your copy now!

Here's my finished page, completed with Staedtler Ergosoft pencils.
