Concetta Kilmer is the proprietor of her Enchanted Design Studio website, which showcases all of her artwork and illustrations. A qualified graphic designer, she resides in Pennsylvania with her two children, two dogs and two cats! Painting is her number one love, but she has recently delved into the colouring world and created 5 animal and fantasy based books full of hand-drawn creatures. Her work is simple but effective, in some cases having the feel of tattoo design.

The illustrations in this book are a mixture of different animals including Persian Trio, Sadness is a Basset Hound, Turtle Totem, Love Bug, The Happy Himalayan, Enchanted Sparrows, So in Love Hooties, A Mermaid and Her Koi, Giraffe's in Wonderland, and A Seahorse in the Reed! I'm not too keen on the grumpy cats but I LOVE the mermaid!

The book only has 10 pages, giving it more of an 'artwork portfolio' feel, and is the first in a series of Cute Animals books from Concetta. It is spiral bound with a transparent plastic cover, and made with very thick cardlike paper. Some of the designs aren't to my taste, but overall it's a great little collection of individual illustrations by a fantastic artist- ideal for an animal lover.

Here's my finished page, completed with Spectrum Noir markers. I let the bright inks bleed out into each other a little to give a funky, psychedelic feel :)
