Colour It by Ondine Summers

Colour It is a brilliant colouring book by Ondine Summers, a tattooist from Norfolk, UK. Her body art background is glaringly present in the pages, with every image worthy of being an awesome tattoo! If you like sugar skulls, gypsies, and rose-entwined guns- you've come to the right place. Sometimes tattoo books can be a little 'samey', all tigers and koi carp, but I didn't find that with Colour It. The variety of different images throughout the 25 pages is vast; from a cuckoo clock to a tea party with a walrus and a puffer fish! Take a look!
The paper is nice and thick, but has a very smooth coating which I'm not keen on. Each page is one-sided though, which is great as I imagine you'll be using some very deep, bright colours to bring this tattoo art to life. The illustrations are finished in dark grey rather than black, which gives an overall softer look to the designs and enables the colour to be the most stand-out thing on the page, rather than a thick black border. The book is spiral bound, my favourite, meaning you're able to colour without the front of the book flapping back and nudging you! It also means you can remove pages easily.

Here's my finished picture. I used the Chameleon pens to try and make the lighthouse look 3D, but as you know I'm not very skilled with those pens yet. I'm quite happy with the anchor though :)

This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review. You can find a copy on Ondine's Etsy page or on eBay.

I love that lighthouse, if I could find a lighthouse colouring book I would be in heaven!
