The queen of beautiful themed mandalas is back with her latest addition to the 'coloring mandalas' series, this time with her ocean book! Lots of fishy books popping up recently isn't there? Coloring Ocean Mandalas is unquestionably one of the best, featuring a multitude of underwater creatures including dolphins, jellyfish, turtles and whales, as well as mythical sea dwellers like mermaids and mermen. There's plenty of undulating seaweed and swishy coral if you prefer your plant life, not to mention nautically themed objects like anchors, ships, a lighthouse and a compass.
As usual with Wendy's books the illustrations are roughly circular and centred on the page, which always makes me wonder why the books aren't square shaped? Not that it matters, of course. The drawings range in complexity but each and every one is interesting and worthy of the best shading and blending you can muster! There are a few colourable quotes scattered throughout which I love, particularly 'the cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea' which is one of my favourite quotes.

The size matches Wendy's previous books so they look super sat on the shelf together, not that they'll be there long as this series is one I come back to again & again. I'm disinterested in typical mandalas but each of these is fun and captivating to colour, and the pages are one sided so I can use any pens I want :) Another thing I'm really excited about is the Coloring Flower Mandalas Postcards that are due for release in Spring! Pre-order to secure your set.

Here is my finished picture, coloured with Polychromos and Prismacolors.
