How strange does the summary look without all the usual info?! Well, that's because this review is for something quite different to your usual book- it's an amazing fold-out Advent calendar!

This #1 Amazon Bestseller board book opens up to reveal a super adorable spread which is 4xA4 size and contains 25 open-the-flap advent windows, each with a cute image to colour inside. I think this would be a wonderful project with the kids to keep and make into a yearly tradition!

On opening the calendar you're presented with a sweet 'belongs to' page and a Christmas tree filled with festive colourable objects.

The calendar is made with sturdy board that is designed to stand upright and be displayed as a Yuletide decoration as well as something to colour. Obviously this is geared towards the mini colourist rather than the adult, but like most of us I'm a big kid and will definitely be helping my boys colour this come December! I think it's great as it's just that little bit of colouring each day, nothing complex or time-consuming, so if your schedule is packed on the run up Christmas (who's isn't?) you'll still be able to slot some colouring in PLUS quality time with the kids. Or you can gift it to them so they can sit and colour alongside you- some of the images are partly coloured so it's not too daunting for even the youngest of colourists :)

I love how you can just fold this away and slip it into the bookshelf or into a box to store for when the children have grown up. Whilst the illustrations are contemporary, it still has that vintage quality about it that I can imagine pulling it out one day to show the grandkids what their Daddies did when they were little!

I was given this calendar in exchange for an honest review. You can find it on Amazon here:
