Brad Albright as Shaun (of the Dead)

I think I've probably mentioned it before but I'm very into everything dark and gory; horror films, the gothic and eerie. I was scouting around for something of this vain in the colouring world, when I came across Brad Albright on Etsy. Brad is an artist, illustrator and graphic designer, who also teaches illustration and drawing courses to young and old alike. He works with huge companies such as Nintendo, whom he's designing gaming wallets and accessories for at the moment.
It was his self-penned 'Texas Gothic' collection of illustrations that caught my evil eye, and thankfully he was able to send me some of his pieces to review! I was super excited to receive these as it's so different to just a colouring book- these are singular pieces of hand-drawn art. I received a campfire-themed accordion book and two prints on card; the typewriter from The Shining, and an armoury full of crazy weapons. If I could draw, this is the kind of artwork I'd do: part creepy movie references, part deep south cowboy (I have a dream to one day live in Georgia or around that area, here's hopin'!) Have a look at just a selection of Brad's vast portfolio of work:
Brad's work is printed on high quality heavyweight card stock, so each piece feels display-worthy when finished. Being singular pieces, they can be framed or hung straight away. If you're into supporting indie artists and looking for something a little different to all those popular supermarket colouring books, go and check out Brad's Etsy page. Here's the concertina book I completed, I had a blast colouring it. It's great when you're colouring something you love, the time just flies and I've now got an awesome piece of artwork to hang up at my colouring station :) I've separated it into sections so you can see it properly, but in actual fact this is one long, folded piece of card.

These pieces of artwork were given to me in exchange for an honest review. You can find all these and more on Brad's Etsy, and his Website.

There's only one cowboy country and its not in Georgia Hun....Texas is home of the true cowboy 👍🏼 Georgia is nothing like that, but I like it here since we're right on the border of sunnyFL

Ahh I've always thought of Georgia as that typical southern state, relaxed and hot!
