Maria Trolle illustrated one of the most popular colouring books to come out of Sweden last year, BlomsterMandala. Vivi Soker En Van was her sequel, and I Bring You Flowers is a standalone postcard (vykort) book of her most beautiful floral creations. There are 20 postcards included, some on black background but most on white. A few of the cards have little greetings written on, such as Thank You, Happy Birthday, I Love You, and Congrats- all in English. Each card has a mixture of flora & fauna from acorns and oak leaves to cherry blossoms, so it's very much a book for those who love to colour wildflowers and blooms. There are a couple of small animals like birds and butterflies included, but for the most part this is a book of plants and flowers, perfect for the greenfingered colourist. Here is a selection of postcards from the book: The postcards are extremely thick stock which will not allow bleed through, although alcohol markers may shadow on the reverse if used heavily. The card is ivory coloured with a smooth surface that takes all mediums well. There are no terribly intricate details in these images so they are suitable for all, and the reverse is blank for you to write a personalised message (aside from a small illustration at the bottom). The size of each card is 5 x 7 inches in size; the standard postcard format. The cards can be easily detached from the spine due to the lay flat glue binding, which allows you to remove each one cleanly and easily. The price is currently just under £9 on Penstore.com, but you will have to factor in shipping from Sweden which is different to every country. Other places you can find this book are Bokus.com and Adlibris.com, which may charge more for the book but much less on shipping- do check beforehand. Here is my finished card, coloured with Sakura Koi pens. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. You can find it on PenStore here:
