Each page of World of Shaboo contains an uplifting sentiment that takes us away from all the negative news stories and badness in the world, and champions enthusiastic and encouraging thoughts about what we make of our lives and the world around us. "Opportunities are never lost, only circling for another attempted landing." The illustrations are based around people and nature, all very happy and jovial, inspiring optimism and a feeling of contentedness in the colourist. This book is a fab one for those needing a pick-me-up or suffering from low mood, the reverse of each page even having dedicated space for you to write your thoughts and feelings. The paper is a very heavy cardstock that is ideal for all types of markers and even paint. The rough tooth on the surface is perfect for coloured pencil blending, too. It is cream coloured which adds a vintage, artistic feel and can make colours 'pop' more on the page. Spiral binding means you can manipulate the book to open fully and fold over for ease, and each page is also perforated for removal. Here's a picture I've recently started, I will update once complete. This book was given to me in excahnge for an honest review. You can find it on Veronica's Etsy page here.
