The rather ambiguously titled Echoes of One is the first colouring book from collaborative artists Sarah Gillmore and Tera.Byte, who work out of a studio in the creative mixing pot that is Mercer Warehouse, Edmonton (Canada). The creators designed this book with the intentions of 'transporting you back to a time when creativity was second nature', which goes some way to explaining the myriad of different types of art on offer here. The A4 sized book features all sorts; from bold stencil prints to delicate, big eyed Anime-esque sketches, there's something for all lovers of quirky contemporary art. So take a flip through and check some of them out! I love the person/tree. The paper isn't very thick but the pages are one-sided, so you can use any marking medium you like to make these unique pieces of art your own. The images themselves range from thick, black line work to fine, whispy detail- each drawing contained in a border so they don't go off the page or into the spine. I wouldn't say everything in the book is to my taste as some of it is rather 'out there', but such is art- we all like different things. There are 20 different pictures to choose from, so there's bound to be something that takes your fancy. Here are my completed works! I love them, both are worthy of removing and sticking up at my colouring station :) I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. You can find it on Sarah & Tera's Etsy page :)
